Niemikoti Foundation will once again participate in the international European Conference on Mental Health (ECMH). This year, we will contribute to the programme with three presentations as well as the Project Speed Dating sessions, which aim to foster international collaboration.
ECMH brings together mental health professionals, researchers, experts by experience and service users from around the world. The conference provides an opportunity to share research, practical experiences and new approaches, while building international networks and partnerships.
Niina Sahlberg’s presentation, Trust starts with privacy, explores the importance of data protection in building trust.
Kaisa Talvinen will present Mental health support society “Vernetti” – 20 years of peer power in Helsinki, Finland, sharing Vernetti’s 20-year journey and the power of peer support.
Emma Heikkinen’s presentation, Service design promotes co-creation and strengthens service users’ participation and agency within services, focuses on how service design can support co-creation and strengthen service users’ participation and agency.
Pasi Paksuniemi and Seppo Eronen will also take part in the conference’s Project Speed Dating programme. The sessions are designed to bring together organisations, project ideas and expertise from different countries, helping participants find new partners and develop international projects.
The international conference gives us an opportunity to share the expertise and practices developed at Niemikoti Foundation while also bringing new perspectives and ideas back to our own work. ECMH is also an important forum for networking and collaboration with mental health organisations and professionals from around the world.
