The Board of Niemikoti Foundation Convened at the Kesäharju Activity Center

The Board of Niemikotisäätiö gathered on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Kesäharju for a meeting and strategic review. Board meetings are arranged at different units of the foundation whenever possible, so that members also become familiar with their activities. In addition to the formal meeting, the Board discussed five key strategic themes: finances, services and facilities, personnel, development, and communications.

The Board’s role is to oversee the administration of the foundation, ensure proper organization of operations and finances, and promote the foundation’s mission of strengthening housing, support, and inclusion for people in mental health rehabilitation. The Board convenes 6–7 times a year.

Kesäharju provided excellent surroundings for the meeting. Although the autumn foliage was not yet at its peak, the abundant mushroom harvest was a pleasant reminder of the season. During the visit, the Board toured the grounds starting from the lakeside sauna and explored the facilities, which left a strong impression on the members. With its beautiful scenery, Kesäharju shone in the best light and received an enthusiastic reception from the Board.

The atmosphere of the occasion was further enriched by the delicious refreshments prepared by Kesäharju’s staff, as well as the simultaneous visit of the Vihreä Keidas group, whose presence added liveliness and a sense of community to the day.
