Otsonpolku supported housing and the Subletting Unit’s office will move in December 2025 to a new address: Kilpolantie 2, 00940 Helsinki. The building, located in Kontula, offers a peaceful environment and good transport connections.
Satu Rintala, the senior instructor at Otsonpolku, made a video that offers a glimpse into the upcoming premises – and the music in the video is also composed by Satu herself with the help of AI.

Video narration
Otsonpolku is moving to Kilpolantie.
Kilpolantie is located in Kontula, in a peaceful area with good transport connections nearby.
The building has 19 apartments, 14 of which are two-room flats and five are studios. There is also a community space, laundry room, and an office corridor that will house the staff of Otsonpolku and the Subletting Unit.
Each apartment has its own kitchen, balcony, and bathroom. Residents can receive visitors, who can easily be let in through the intercom system.
Otsonpolku’s counsellors are present on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Before Otsonpolku moves in, all apartments will be refurbished. The moves will be carried out with the help of professional movers, covered by the Niemikotisäätiö Foundation.
The building also features a common lounge, where voluntary movie nights, games, and group activities can be organised.
Meetings with one’s personal counsellor mainly take place at home as house visits. The length, frequency, and content of these visits are tailored to each resident’s individual needs.
The aim is that through regular home visits, residents’ independent living skills and well-being will improve, enabling a gradual transition to supported housing — in scattered apartments.
After living in supported housing for a while and gaining more confidence and self-management skills, residents may move on to a less supported form of living — subletting.
Otsonpolku will continue to organise an annual summer camp in Iitti, as well as excursions and visits.
Most of the staff will remain the same.
From December onwards, Tarja and Tuomas will work as counsellors in supported (scattered) housing.
At the community housing unit on Kilpolantie, the staff will include Sanna-Mari, Mari, Sari, and Minna.
Satu will continue as the senior counsellor for both forms of housing.
Living on Kilpolantie offers better opportunities for independent life, as the housing costs are reasonable. The apartments are comparable to ordinary rental flats, but the level of support available is significantly higher than in supported (scattered) housing.
Music:
“Voit olla itsestäsi ylpeä. Me halutaan stigmaa vähentää ja siksi palvelujen tajuaminen on tärkeää.
Ja mikä sunkin muistaa pitää? Sairastunut voi olla kuka tahansa meistä.
Toipuminen tarkoittaa elämää merkityksellistä, oman identiteetin löytymistä, uskoa, toivoa ja luottamusta tulevaan – valoa ja voimaa omaan maailmaan. Osallisuus on tärkeää. Tää kaikki toipumisorientaation kiteyttää.”
