Niemikotisäätiö, taking the environment into account is a central part of daily work. This work is now being strengthened with renewed environmental and wellbeing themes, which change monthly and bring practical ways to promote sustainable wellbeing in everyday life.
The new themes will be launched at an environmental event held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Malmi Day Activity Centre. The event brings together service users, their close ones, and staff to explore the themes and participate in a diverse program.
During the day, the program will include an environmental workshop, recycling-themed activities, and an introduction and field tour related to urban farming by Perho Green City Farm. In addition, there will be handicrafts available, with proceeds donated to nature conservation, as well as coffee service.
The event offers an opportunity to learn something new, take part in shared activities, and strengthen a collective responsibility for the environment – through small everyday actions.
