A Cooperation Agreement Strengthens International Development Work

Cooperation between Kotka-based Kakspy, Estonia’s AS Hoolekandeteenused, and the Niemikotisäätiö Foundation was strengthened in December when the parties signed a cooperation agreement in Tallinn on 19 December 2025. The agreement is based on the idea of long-term and close collaboration also outside of individual projects — even when no external funding is available.

The cooperation model originated from an initiative by Markku Kärmeniemi, CEO of Kakspy Palvelut Oy, and represents a practical way of developing services together across organizational boundaries.

The agreement covers cooperation in areas such as preparing an Erasmus project application, to be submitted in spring 2026 and based on expert-by-experience activities, staff development (joint events and staff exchange), and the development of digital applications related to housing services.

The agreement was signed by Markku Kärmeniemi, CEO of Kakspy Palvelut Oy, Ragnar Vaiknemets, CEO of AS Hoolekandeteenused, and Seppo Eronen, Executive Director of Niemikotisäätiö Foundation.
